I'm halfway throught the second week of training and YOWZERS! If I'm not at school, work or en route to either of those places, I'm swimming/biking/running.
I've certainly worked hard as athlete before. In high school, I would swim laps before school, followed by a weight lifting class and ending the day with cross country/track workouts. However, I've never been more dedicated, motivated or have worked harder than I am now. It's different when you're an adult. Different obligations, stresses and priorities. That's really what it's all about: prioritizing.
After 1 1/2 weeks, I'm definitely feeling tired. It's a daily struggle to be in bed by 9pm in order to be up before 5 to get in the 1-2+ hours of training each day. Having that said, I also feel AMAZING. My body is already changing and I can definitely see a six-pack in my future. :) I'm making sure to take time to stretch, relax and accept massages from my really sweet fiance.
Last Saturday, I did a 2 hour ride on my trainer. It went surprisingly fast! I'm finally feeling comfortable again on the bike and my endurance is coming around! Frida and Aaron are also great entertainment. Frida checks in on me from time to time to say hello. Aaron even brought me coffee! (A tall latte fits perfectly in my water bottle holder!)
